Das Ensemble der Sächsischen Aufbaubank SAB besteht aus zwei Teilen: das “private” Gebäude und das “öffentliche” Forum, dem Säulengarten. Der L-förmige, nachhaltig errichtete Verwaltungsbau mit Erdgeschoss und vier Obergeschossen ist ausgelegt für bis zu 500 Arbeitsplätze. Die Büroetagen der Bank sind für größtmögliche Flexibilität konzipiert, um auf künftige Entwicklungen in der Arbeitswelt vorbereitet zu sein.
Das Forum ist ein der SAB vorgelagerter Säulengarten, bestehend aus 159 Säulen mit ca. 20 m Höhe; am Gebäude selbst befinden sich weitere 92 Säulen, davon 68 freistehende sowie 24 das Gebäude durchdringende Säulen. Die Säulen sind eingesetzt als Sonnenschutz, teils zur Entrauchung der Tiefgarage sowie als gestalterisches Element.

The ensemble of Saxony's Central Development Agency consists of two parts: the "private" building and the "public" forum - the columned garden. The L-shaped, sustainably constructed administration building with a ground floor and four upper floors is designed for up to 500 workplaces. The bank's office floors are designed for maximum flexibility in order to be prepared for future developments in the world of work.
The forum is a column garden in front of the SAB, consisting of 159 columns with a height of approx. 20 m; on the building itself there are another 92 columns, of which 68 are freestanding and 24 columns that penetrate the building. The pillars are used as sun protection, partly to extract smoke from the underground car park and as a design element.
